Best Travel Card Singapore 2026: OKX Card vs DBS Altitude vs UOB PRVI Miles vs Citi PremierMiles

Singapore has no shortage of travel card options, but most of them work the same way: earn miles on spend, redeem for flights, pay a foreign transaction fee on every overseas purchase. For Singapore Accredited Investors who hold USD stablecoins, there is a structurally different option that changes the calculus entirely.

This article compares four cards on the metrics that matter most for travel: FX fees, rewards value, and what your idle balance earns between trips.

Every overseas purchase on a DBS Altitude, UOB PRVI Miles, or Citi PremierMiles card is subject to a 3.25% foreign currency transaction fee. On S$5,000 of monthly travel and overseas spend, that is S$162.50 per month, or S$1,950 per year, deducted before any miles value is counted.

Miles partially offset this cost, but the offset is incomplete. Citi PremierMiles earns 2 miles per S$1 overseas at a typical redemption value of around 1.5 to 2 cents per mile. On S$5,000 monthly overseas spend that is approximately 10,000 miles per month, worth roughly S$130 to S$160 at redemption, less than the S$162.50 FX fee before a single mile is put to use. The net position from FX costs alone is negative or breakeven at best, before redemption friction is factored in.

OKX Card charges no FX fee. For purchases priced in USD — hotel bookings, flights, subscription services — there is no conversion at all. The card is funded in USD stablecoins, so USD-denominated spend settles in USD, . For purchases in other currencies, Visa's live rate applies with no additional markup A 0.1% asset conversion spread may apply for some types of token conversions.

1.4 miles/S$1 local, up to 5 miles/S$1 overseas (source)

1.2 miles/S$1 local, 2.2 miles/S$1 overseas (source)

Miles earn rates look attractive on paper. UOB PRVI Miles at 2.4 miles per S$1 overseas is one of the strongest rates from a local bank. The practical value depends on how and when you redeem: business class redemptions can yield 4 to 5 cents per mile, but economy redemptions often return 1 to 1.5 cents, and miles left unredeemed earn nothing while sitting in an account.

OKX Card Accredited Investors earn cashback in USDG, credited instantly on every eligible purchase. There is no redemption process, no transfer to an airline programme, no blackout dates, and no expiry. The cashback is worth exactly its face value the moment it lands. For a VIP 3 Accredited Investor, that is 5% on all eligible spend. For VIP 4 and above, it is 10%.

Yield on balance

For Accredited Investors only, on USDG: 8% APY for VIPs (promotional, first US$10K); 3.5% for non-VIP AIs

No bank travel card in this comparison earns yield on the balance you carry between trips. A US$10,000 float sitting in a DBS, UOB, or Citibank account earns the standard savings rate — typically well below 1% unless specific salary crediting or spend conditions are met.

OKX Card Accredited Investors earn up to 8% APY on the first US$10,000 held in USDG (promotional rate for VIP users), and 3.5% per annum for non-VIP Accredited Investors. This yield runs continuously with no staking or lockup required: your balance earns from the moment it sits in your OKX Pay wallet to the moment you spend it. On a US$10,000 float, that is up to US$800 per year generated passively.

Combined Return for Accredited Investors

For a VIP 3 Accredited Investor spending US$5,000 per month with a US$10,000 USDG float: cashback at 5% generates approximately US$3,000 per year and yield adds up to US$800, for a combined return of approximately US$3,800 from a card with no annual fee and no FX costs.

For VIP 4 and above, cashback at 10% on the same spend generates approximately US$6,000 per year, bringing the combined return to approximately US$6,800.

A Singapore bank travel card on the same spend profile must first absorb S$1,950 (~US$1,507) in annual FX fees before any miles value is counted, and then pay an annual fee of S$196.20 to S$261.60 (~US$151.69 to ~US$202.26) after the first year.

Verdict

OKX Card

DBS Altitude Visa

UOB PRVI Miles

Citi PremierMiles

Best for

Accredited Investors holding USD stablecoins who want stablecoin cashback, yield, and zero FX costs

Frequent travellers who want a low annual fee and flexible miles transfer to major programmes

High spenders who want the highest overseas miles earn rate from a local bank

Users in the Citi ecosystem who want a well-rounded miles card with broad transfer partners

For Singapore Accredited Investors holding USD stablecoins, OKX Card delivers the strongest value of any travel card available in 2026. Zero FX costs, stablecoin cashback of up to 10% for VIP 4 and above, and up to 8% APY on your balance combine in a way that bank travel cards are structurally unable to replicate.

DBS Altitude, UOB PRVI Miles, and Citi PremierMiles remain the best options for users who travel frequently, value miles for premium cabin redemptions, and are not Accredited Investors. But for Accredited Investors who hold USD stablecoins and qualify for the programme, the OKX Card is the clear winner.
