Can I set my own spending limits?

Yes. You can set a per-transaction limit, a daily limit, or both to help manage your Card spending. These user-configurable limits are off by default.

What's the difference between the two limits?

Per-transaction limit: The maximum amount allowed for a single purchase authorization.

Daily limit: The maximum total amount of purchase authorizations allowed during a day. Your daily spending allowance resets at midnight Eastern Time (ET).

How much can I set my limit to?

When you turn a limit on, you can choose an amount up to USD 150,000. This is the maximum configurable limit, not an amount of credit provided to you. If both limits are on, your per-transaction limit cannot exceed your daily limit.

Can I turn a limit off?

Yes. Per-transaction and daily limits can be turned on or off independently. Turning off a user-set limit does not remove the need for sufficient available credit or bypass Card restrictions and security checks.

When does a change take effect?

A per-transaction change applies to the next authorization. A daily-limit change applies against any transactions entered into on the current day, not just those entered into after changing the limitl. If your spending has already reached or exceeded the new daily limit, further purchases are declined until the allowance resets or amend your limit settings, subject to other Card controls.

Do refunds restore my daily allowance?

No. A refund or chargeback after settlement does not reduce the spending total used for the daily limit. A pre-settlement authorization reversal is removed from the spending total.

Can I change limits while my card is locked?

No. OKX Card does not allow limit values or on/off settings to be changed while the card is frozen or suspended. The daily allowance still resets normally during that period.

Why was a purchase declined even though it was below my spending limit?

A spending limit is separate from your available credit. Your purchase still needs sufficient supported-stablecoin collateral and must pass applicable Card and security controls. A limit setting does not guarantee authorization.
